Has anyone experienced itchy skin after a child has taken a shower, only after a shower, no bumbs, no skin lesions, no hives. I have tried different creams thinking its just dry skin, but the other day i tried imaginary magic cream and all was well, but i just wanted to see if anyone else experienced this problem, because the tears and the screaming keep getting worse but when something else diverts their attention, the itchies go away.

My daughter hates the time right after her bath when she is getting her lotion and pull up on, but I think it is only because she is cold and so is the lotion. She's non-verbal so it's only a guess. She is better immediately after her clothes are on. We are having an issue with her feet though.
The circulation in her feet is not good so they are always cold. If I don't warm them up before putting her in the bath, then they turn blood red and I assume itch because she starts to grab at them. I know we've all had that itchy feeling when you go outside in cold weather and your feet start to warm up and itch. I just try to make sure I warm them up a little before I put her in.

Thanks for you input. I have been experimenting, I don't think its "itchy" i think its the sensation of the air when it hits the skin while wet. But I tried Gold Bond Powder and it seemed to work quicker then the cream, literally seconds, and the crying was diminished significantly, no meltdown and no crying. I hope this helps.
