No repelling of water, but my son is extremely hairy...I am not sure if it is from his dad or from all the meds....

Hi. My son is ten yrs. old, late-infantile. He is growing hair every where, even pubic. I was told he is going through early puberty. Plus, he has bad acne. His hair gets oily quickly. I can imagine all of his meds are contributing to all this too.

When my child was about nine or ten, his neuro was concerned about acne and hair growth because of seizure meds. I think he was on Dilantin at that time

My son had juvenile. He had a full beard by the time he was 14. This is not typical of either side of our families. He also had very oily hair. In fact throughout his teen years he had what we used to call "cradle cap". It was so thick. My sister, a nurse, had me use Witch Hazel on a damp rag. It dissolved the oil immediately. Used several times a week it was kept under control until it stopped in his early twenties. Of course, he just loved having his head rubbed. We also kept his hair short. He had a short beard and bushy eyebrows. Yes, they got a cleaning too! He was on dilantin in his early teens and it is supposed to promote hair growth. However, it was discontinued by the time he was 17. No reduction in hair!!! Hope that helps. Nancy
