My daughter has LINCL. Over the past couple of months she has had several incidents of screaming for an hour or two at a time. It appears that she is in pain. As she kicks her feet out or tucks her knees into her chest and cries louder at times. We had her examined for the obvious causes of pain, but still don't really know what's going on.
Has anyone else experienced this?

My son has JNCL, he also screams at times for hrs at a time, but his is not pain related. Although he is blind, he hallucinates "shock monsters" that scare him terribly. I don't know how common this is between all of the kids or types, but perhaps it is something like it?
What we did to help it, we changed his normal routine and normal environment. We moved his bedroom, got him new toys, some air freshners for a new smell, new things he was not familiar with. By doing that, I think he got occupied with all the new discoveries, and the "shock monsters" seemed to have disappeared. Distraction was the only weapon we had.
Hope this gives you some ideas, if not to help, then to at least eliminate a possibility.
