After reading all of the above messages, thought I'd add what my daughter, Kelsey, is currently taking. She is on Lithium for behavior (has been for some time - previously diagnosed as bipolar), Zonegran for seizures (previously diagnosed with epilepsy - hasn't had a seizure that we know of since she was 8, she's now 12), Celexa for anxiety and we recently found out she is vitamin D deficient and now has to take vitamin D drops (1,000 IU daily). Sleep has been an issue for quite some time. While falling asleep isn't the problem, staying asleep is. She wakes early morning (any where from 3 a.m. - 5 a.m. and wants to chat). It's like having a newborn again with the early morning wake up calls. Oh, she is also on a thyroid medication because of slightly abnormal TSH and Free T-4 (could be result of the Lithium). Ugh, what a mess this is!!!! ~Kim Fuller

Austin is on two different meds... Depakote and Keppra. They started with just Depakote and it wasn't working by itself so they added another one called Topamax. He responded badly to that one and they switched to Keppra instead. He took a couple weeks to adjust but he's okay now. Everything he does is related to the decline of the disease unfortunately.
